OPERATION WALLACEA & 3 RIVERS ECO LODGE
For 2 months every year we host the annual Operation Wallacea (opwall.com), wildlife conservation research expeditions. Around the property we have 3 main research trails which you can also use, taking you though various vegetation and natural habitats.
We host about 15-20 of the world’s top scientist experts in various fields; birds, bats, lizards, river invertebrates, butterflies, insects, marine ecology and habitats, among others.
They stay with us for 2 months, and every week different schools from around the world join the scientists to assist with the surveys and learn from the experts.
We are lucky to be able to access all of the data collected by the scientists over the years, and we can make them available to you if you are interested.
Together, we are working with Opwall to catalogue Dominica’s massive variety of flora and fauna, and doing our bit to assist with the preservation of the incredibly wide variety of flora and fauna bestowed upon our nature island.
